Drive from Libby to Butte

The drive between Libby, MT and Butte, MT is absolutely beautiful.  The first time Corey and I drove this drive, we were exhauseted and unable to really appreciate the breathtaking views!  Here are some of the great sites we saw!

Corey is singing and driving!  Lol!

This sign says, "Watch for Bighorn Sheep".  We didn't see any, but they are there somewhere.  My Aunt Linda and Uncle Paul said that they had to push a couple off of the road with their vehicle once so they could get through! Haha!

Can you see why they call Montana, "Big Sky County"?

This is the Grizzly Harley Davidson in Missoula, MT.  Corey and I have been here 3 times now!

Look you can get a nice cold "pop", as they call it here!

The Home Bar

I was put on-call for the night so Corey and I decided to check out The Home Bar, which is the only place within a 20 mile radius that has poker for Corey! Haha!  So we decided to check it out and maybe take some pictures!

This is what the sky looked like to the east.
This is the view to the west.  A storm is coming in over the mountains.  When you live in between mountains the sky can look clear one minute and then look up and see a storm coming the next minute.

This is painted on the side of the building.

The Kootenai Valley State Bank is now the VFW Club.
Isn't this cool?  The motorcycle is carved out of wood on the side of the building.
Live poker on Fridays!  Yay!  Corey is so happy, he already has his name on the list for next Friday.

An American flag, a Support our Troops flag and a Harley Davidson flag.  This is a perfect place for Corey!

The Libby Dam

The Libby Dam is located on the Kootenai Lake and spills into the Kootenai River.  Right now the river and lake are high due to the snow melting in the mountains and the extra rain this area has received this year.  Corey and I made an early morning trip to the dam today because I have to work tonight.  We took plenty of pictures!

 The views are amazing here!

Notice that this sign says that the dam is only 1.88 feet down from being full!  Can you believe that?  We saw a couple at the dam that said that they visited one month ago and it was 70 feet down from being full!  They own property here and have never seen the dam as high as it is right now.

Corey took a picture of his "racing charger"  he loves his car, but misses his motorcycle! LoL!
The third flag is the Canadian flag.  We are so far north that everywhere we go we see the Canadian flag hanging with the American flag as well as Montana's flag.  I am not sure what the fourth flag is though.
